Heather Clark, D.D.S. Dr. Clark

A native of Wathena, Kansas, Dr. Heather Clark has been in the dental profession for over a decade. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, from toddlers to seniors. Dr. Clark has an extensive background in complex restorative dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. With constant continuing education courses, she is a leader in modern dentistry.

Dr. Clark is currently studying under world-renowned prosthodontist, Frank Spear, D.D.S.She is completing Dr. Spear’s curriculum which focuses on complex comprehensive esthetic and restorative dentistry at Spear Education in Scottsdale, Arizona. This program also emphasizes treatment modalities for patients that have bruxism (teeth grinding) and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders (TMD).

Dr. Clark graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. To further her education, she completed an optional residency program, Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD), at UMKC with an emphasis in complex restorative cases, implant dentistry and functional esthetic dentistry. Dr. Clark is an active member in the American Dental Association, Northwest Dental Society, Academy for Sports Dentistryand the Academy of General Dentistry, where she is working toward her Fellowship Award. She is also a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and an associate member of the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Clark is also proud to announce that she is a Founding Member of the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health, whereby she is focused on pioneering total body health and wellness for her patients.

What Dr. Clark finds most rewarding in her career is making a difference in her patients’ lives, increasing patients’ self-esteem and total body health. Dr. Clark loves to boast about her team and the dedication they have for her patients’ overall health and comfort, as well as the support they have for each other.

When she is not taking care of her patients, Dr. Clark teaches hygiene students at Hillyard Technical Center in St. Joseph and volunteers her time speaking to organizations and schools about oral health. She also volunteers her time and talents with Smiles From The Heart, offering a Free Dental Day annually.

Dr. Clark and her husband are blessed with their son, Coen, and their two daughters, Gracen and Halle. They enjoy spending quality time with their family and friends. Other pastimes of Dr. Clark's include reading, baking, and exercising.

 

Ashley Deacy, D.M.D.Dr, Deacy

Dr. Ashley Deacy is passionate about providing excellent dental care and treatment to patients of all ages. She enjoys getting to know her patients and educating and guiding them in decisions about their treatment and care that will lead to optimal dental health.  Her desire is to make each appointment a positive experience as she works with her patients to relieve pain and achieve a beautiful smile. Dr. Deacy finds guiding patients to health in body, mind, and spirit, to be the most rewarding part of her career.

Dr. Deacy graduated from A.T. Still University Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health, where she received extensive experience in oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics and restorative dentistry. She also received excessive training in implant restorations and received the Dental Implant Student Award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons for outstanding achievements and performance related to treatment planning and implant prosthetics.  Additionally, Dr. Deacy was president of the Still Caring Health Connection, which she helped launch in Kirksville, Missouri to assist uninsured patients to gain access to medical and dental care. Dr. Deacy is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Missouri Dental Association.

Outside of the dental office, Dr. Deacy enjoys volunteering and using her skills to help those in need. She travels to The Northwest Haiti Christian Mission in St. Louis du Nord, Haiti each year to provide dental care in the community to those who have no access to dental care.  She has taught oral hygiene and dental care in schools from preschool to college. Dr. Deacy also partners with the Missouri Mission of Mercy each year to provide free dental care to underserved Missouri residents.

Born and raised in Independence, Missouri, Dr. Deacy married her high school sweetheart, Luke. They enjoy spending time with family and friends. Dr. Deacy also loves being outdoors, playing sports, biking, weightlifting, reading, and making quilts.
